Part 8: The Word Shaker
Dominoes and darkness
pgs.407- 411
What did he not tell Liesel? Why was he examined? Anyways, I like how Rudy is ok with everyone nocking down his hard work. He seems kind of worried though, when the men enter the house. I wish he had gone to the school, he probably could have avoided death.
In the words of Rudy's youngest sisters, there were two monsters sitting in the kitchen.
pg. 407
Well that is pretty exact. They are trying to take their brother away, though they don't exactly know that. I know that if two men with coats came into my house, my sister would think they are monsters too.
The Thought of Rudy Naked
pgs.412- 415
Um... Let's see. What do I have to say about this section? Well, not much... but now, the visit makes a lot more sense. it is kind of crazy that they are examining them to become a main part of the master race but on the second page of the section, first paragraph, the last sentence is "Rudy did not feel like he was part of a master race." Interesting... Also, it is nice that Liesel still always thinks about Max and misses him.
It will be a new class of physically and mentally advanced Germans. An officer class.
pg. 414
Well that is kind of cool! Rudy could be in an elite class designed for only the best, physically and mentally. I think Rudy would fit perfectly there, but I don't know if he would be comfortable. No soccer goal. No stealing. No Liesel...
The Anarchist's Suit Collection
pgs. 452- 455
YAY!!! Christmas time! Anyways, the thought of Liesel stealing for Rudy is really cute. I hope that both fathers come home safely, even if they are injured. As long as neither of them die, we are good. It is nice that the two families are together.
I've been wondering if the two children are worried about their fathers. Actually, they aren't even children anymore. Liesel is almost 14, Rudy is probably 14 1/2 or 15. I wonder if they ever talk about their fathers being gone...
